PURPOSE: A ball nut unit of a rack assist type electric steering apparatus is provided to prevent the excessive friction and needless holding feeling during the operation and form the circulation flow of balls which do not cause the knocking noise through compensating the clearance of whole assembly and axial direction clearance which not be eliminated through C-ring through a end cap. CONSTITUTION: A ball nut unit(3) of a rack assist type electric steering apparatus comprises a ball screw(20), a ball nut(4), balls(10), an end cap(7), a damper ring(8), a C-ring(9). The ball screw forms the groove in the outer circumference of a rack bar. The ball nut covers the ball screw and is rotated. The balls move between the ball screw and ball nut. The end cap forms the circulation flow of balls by inflowing and discharging the balls. The damper adheres closely to the end cap and pushes the end cap. The C-ring prevents the location secession of the assembled ball nut. |
