PURPOSE: An operation control method of a portable terminal is provided to automatically release a lock state by sensing a situation through the portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A display unit displays an object which displays a lock state on a screen in the lock state of a portable terminal(S100). A control unit acquires a photographic image by operating a camera unit(S200). In case the photographic image is detected in the acquiring process of the photographic image, the control unit releases the lock state. In case the photographic image is not detected, the control unit maintains the lock state(S300).
