PHASE DIVISION TYPE POWER FACTOR CORRECTION CIRCUIT OF IMPROVED CURRENT LIMIT FUNCTION

PURPOSE: A power factor compensation circuit of a phase partition control mode with an improved current limit function is provided to increase power factor and efficiency by partitioning and controlling a switching period phase. CONSTITUTION: A bridge diode(14) converts an AC power source into a DC voltage. A first power factor compensation inductor(L1) is connected to a single terminal of the bridge diode in series. A first switching device(Q1) controls current flowing in the first power factor compensation inductor. An anode of a first diode(D1) is connected to a drain of the first switching device. A second power factor compensation inductor(L2) is connected to a single terminal of the bridge diode. A second switching device(Q2) controls current flowing in the second power factor compensation inductor. An anode of the second diode is connected to the drain of the second switching device. A condenser(C2) outputs stable output voltage. A power factor compensation controller(20) controls a phase splitting process in order to charge the condenser.
