A CUTTING TOOL ASSEMBLY, A TOOL HOLDER THEREFOR

PURPOSE: A cutting tool assembly and a tool holder used therefor are provided to simply couple a cutting head to the tool holder through a spiral protrusion and a spiral groove. CONSTITUTION: A cutting tool assembly comprises a cutting head and a tool holder(2). The cutting head has a conical shank and a spiral protrusion. The spiral protrusion is protruded from the outer surface of the shank and is extended in a spiral shape. The tool holder comprises a conical bore(24), an entering slit(26), and a spiral groove(27). The conical shank of the cutting head is inserted into the conical bore. The entering slit is recessed from the inner surface of the conical bore and guides the insertion of the spiral protrusion. The spiral groove is extended from the entering slit in a spiral shape and guides the insertion of the spiral protrusion.
