PURPOSE: A public transportation fee payment method using a portable terminal and system thereof are provided to reduce waiting time for boarding by transmitting messages to a communication service provider server. CONSTITUTION: A transportation unit transmits a message to a communication service provider server(402). When the communication service provider server receives the message, the portable terminal determines the state of the portable terminal related to the transportation unit(403). When a portable terminal is disconnected from AP(Access Points), the transportation unit transmits the message to the communication service provider server. The communication service provider server determines the landing of a portable terminal from the transportation unit(408). |
