UV/BLUE LIGHT-SPECIFIC PHOTORECEPTOR COMPRISING PROTEIN WITH CYANOPTERIN AS CHROMOPHORE

摘要

PURPOSE: An UV/blue light-specific photo receptor containing proteins with cyanopterin is provided to promote positive phototaxis under blue light and to suppress negative phototaxis. CONSTITUTION: An UV/blue light-specific photo receptor contains proteins with cyanopterin as a chromophore. The proteins promote positive phototaxis under blue light and suppress negative phototaxis under UV rays. The UV rays include UVA or UVB. The negative phototaxis of a PgtA mutant is increased under UV ray and blue light. The cyanopterin is biosynthesized by PgtA enzyme.
