The method involves introducing fuel mixture into combustion chambers (12a-12d) through two injection units. The composition of the fuel mixture for combustion chamber is determined individually. The fuel mixture is changed by changing fuel amount or air amount for every work cycle of the combustion engine (10). The injection units are operated simultaneously for injection of fuel mixture into combustion chambers. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) computer program for operating combustion engine; and (2) control device for combustion engine.
