<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive control device and an image forming apparatus that reduce rotational variations of one electrical angle period component by suppressing variations in energization switching timing in a more inexpensive structure using a small capacity EEPROM. <P>SOLUTION: The motor drive control device includes: a brushless motor; position detection means for detecting a rotor position of the brushless motor; inverter means for switching energization to stator windings of the brushless motor; control means for outputting a drive signal to drive the brushless motor and driving the inverter means in accordance with a signal of rotor position output from the position detection means; and storage means for storing advance information determined in accordance with characteristic variations of the position detection means measured beforehand.
