PURPOSE: A multimedia file playing method and a multimedia player are provided to download a marker data file from the Internet, thereby enabling a student to conveniently study a foreign language. CONSTITUTION: If a marker data file is downloaded, a setting unit of a multimedia player sets play times and pause release time. The player repetitively plays a multimedia file between markers of marker data at play times. The player pauses the multimedia file during set time by a pause marker(51). A learner learns various things using a pause function.
