<p>This invention discloses a data link protection method and system based on load distribution. During uplink data transmission, an ONU (optical network unit) receives uplink data messages via logic ports, transmits the messages to caches of two physical ports corresponding to the logic ports according to dynamic load distribution algorithm, and then transmits the uplink data messages in each of the caches to an OLT (optical line terminal) after encapsulation; the OLT reorders the uplink data messages, and transmits the messages to an upper layer device via ports connected to the upper; during downlink data transmission, the OLT receives downlink data messages via logic ports, transmits the messages to the caches of the two physical ports corresponding to the logic ports according to static load distribution algorithm, and then transmits the downlink data messages in each of the caches to the ONU after encapsulation; the ONU reorders the downlink data messages, and transmits the messages to user device via user side ports. This invention can effectively improve the transmission efficiency of the primary and backup links in a PON (passive optical networks) system, and improve the system bandwidth.</p> |
