<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially oriented polyester film which is superior in dimensional stability, especially dimensional stability against environmental changes in, for example, temperature and humidity, and to provide a polyester providing the biaxially oriented polyester film with the superior dimensional stability. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a copolymerized aromatic polyester which is composed of: a 4,4'-(alkylenedioxy)bisbenzoic acid component and an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component comprising a phenylene group or a naphthalenediyl group with a dicarboxylic acid added thereto; and a glycol component consisting of an alkylene glycol or a cycloalkylene glycol, and the copolymerized aromatic polyester, and the film thereof, includes 5 mol% or more and less than 90 mol% of the 4,4'-(alkylenedioxy)bisbenzoic acid component on the basis of the number of moles of the aromatic dicarboxylic acid component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
