<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform engineering (ENG) conversion more easily. <P>SOLUTION: A scientific calculator 1 includes an input unit 14 for inputting a numerical expression on the basis of user operation, a CPU 11 for calculating a calculation result of the numerical expression, and a display unit 15 for displaying the numerical expression and the calculation result. The input unit 14 specifies a position in a display area on the display unit 15 on the basis of user operation. When the input unit 14 specifies the calculation result and slide operation from left to right is performed, the CPU 11 performs ENG conversion on the calculation result and updates display content on the display unit 15.
