<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical substrate excellent in both of heat resistance and optical characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided an optical substrate that is formed by laminating at least one gas barrier layer on one surface or both surfaces of a substrate containing a copolymer of not less than one selected from a group consisting of ethylene and a linear α-olefin, a cyclic olefin, and a vinyl compound. A method of manufacturing the optical substrate includes: copolymerizing not less than one selected from a group consisting of ethylene and the linear α-olefin, the cyclic olefin and the vinyl compound to obtain the substrate; and laminating at least one gas barrier layer on one surface or both surfaces of the obtained substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
