摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promptly set a standby optical path without need of inquiring of a server or the like during fault occurrence in a wavelength division multiplex ring network. <P>SOLUTION: A wavelength division multiplex ring network comprises: a plurality of optical transmission devices 10 that mutually transfers a main signal by using a wavelength for transferring a main signal; an optical fiber 11 that connects among the plurality of the optical transmission devices; control information transferring means 20 that transfers wavelength availability information as to whether a plurality of the wavelengths for transferring the main signal provided by each of the plurality of the optical transmission devices 10 is available for transfer to a contiguous optical transmission device by using a wavelength for transferring control information: use wavelength determining means 23 that determines the wavelength for transferring the main signal to transfer the main signal based on the wavelength availability information transferred by the control information transferring means; and main signal input/output means 21 that inputs and outputs the main signal to the wavelength division multiplex ring network by using the wavelength for transferring the main signal determined by the use wavelength determining means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
