The cutting device has a cutting unit for cutting front side of metal sheet (2), and a feed unit (1) that conveys the metal sheet in longitudinal direction. The cutting unit comprises an angle-adjustable beam (5) and roller cutter (4) for front side cutting which is arranged at the angle-adjustable beam. The roller cutter for front side cutting is arranged in downstream of roller cutter (19) for edge cutting in feed direction. An independent claim is included for method for operating metal sheet cutting device.
