The invention relates to non-destructive eddy-current control of articles made of metal non-ferromagnetic materials and can be used for determination of specific electric conductivity of constructional materials in machine-building, aviation, etc. By means of generator of sinusoidal signals and excitation winding of eddy current transducer one excites primary electromagnetic field, with balancing output signal of the eddy current transducer through adding compensation signal to it, with placement eddy current transducer in zone of control and with measurement of phase of total signal by which one determines electric conductivity of material of the object of control. The method makes it possible to measure electric conductivity of non-magnetic materials with dejamming from effect of gap in broad range. This is especially important for control of structural changes of articles made of aluminum alloys at need to carry out control through a layer of dielectric coating (for instance, varnish-and-paint one) with unknown thickness. |
