[Also in Divisions G2 and G5] Light from a source 9 is effected onto a screen 8 by a reflector 13 which comprises an irregular coloured surface of metallised plastics. As described, there are a plurality of such sources 9 and reflectors 13, and the latter are rotated and/or vibrated by individual motors (16), Fig. 3 (not shown). Reflectors 13 comprise crinkled metallised plastics foil, and may include sequins, glass chips, &c. Superposed on the resulting psychedelic pattern on screen 8 is a conventional optical image produced by reflection off mirrors 6, 7 by a slide or cine projector 2, which may incorporate a thyristor-controlled dimmer and an arrangement for blurring the edges of the picture frame. Mirror 6 may be vibrated by a loudspeaker cone 18. In alternative arrangements, the reflectors 13 may be distorted by fluid pressure means, or (Fig. 4, not shown) they may be mounted inside a bass drum, the thumping of which causes light patterns to move across a drumskin by back projection.
