METHOD OF GAS PROTECTION OF LIQUID BATHAT LASER WELDING

摘要

A method of gas protection of a liquid bath at laser welding includes action of laser radiation on the metal surface to form a penetration channel and withdrawal of generated there near-surface plasma and plasma of penetration channel from the zone of action of a laser beam. The invention provides for separate supply of shielding gases with different ionization potentials into the welding zone and protection of the penetration channel zone by a gas with higher ionization potential.
