<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ferrite particles that are high in strength, in addition to having high magnetic characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: A material expressed by a compositional formula M<SB POS="POST">X</SB>Fe<SB POS="POST">3</SB>-<SB POS="POST">X</SB>O<SB POS="POST">4</SB>(where M is at least one type of metal selected from a group including Mg, Mn, Ca, Ti, Cu, Zn, Sr, and Ni; 0≤X<3) serves as a main ingredient, and 0.25-1 mol% of ZrO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>is included therein. Here, in terms of effectively achieving improved strength in the ferrite particles, the mean particle size of ZrO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>is preferably in a range of 0.5-4.0 μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
