<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for adjusting a fuel injection timing of a diesel engine which can easily adjust a phase of a rotating direction of a camshaft of a fuel injection pump with respect to a crankshaft of the diesel engine, and a method of adjusting an assembly phase of the device. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of adjusting the assembly phase of the device for adjusting the fuel injection timing of the diesel engine 20 coupling the crankshaft of the diesel engine and the camshaft 18 of the fuel injection pump 1 in an interlocking manner, the camshaft 18 is coupled to one side of the device for adjusting the fuel injection timing 20 in a manner which cannot perform relative rotation and also the device for adjusting the fuel injection timing 20 is housed in a gear case 19 in a state where the camshaft 18 is fixed in the manner which cannot perform relative rotation, a transmission gear 27 formed so that its mounting position in a rotating direction can be modified is mounted on the other side of the device for adjusting the fuel injection timing 20 to be coupled to the crankshaft in the interlocking manner, and then the phase of the crankshaft with respect to the camshaft 18 is adjusted by rotating the transmission gear 27 or the crankshaft. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
