The invention provides a router and an obtainment method for a Forwarding Information Base (FIB) of a router cluster. The method includes: a router in a router cluster obtains an Internal FIB (iFIB) and an External FIB (eFIB), wherein the iFIB includes the information about the routes from one router in the cluster to another router in the cluster, and the eFIB includes the information about the routes from the router in the cluster at which the outlet port of the cluster is located to the network outside the cluster; the router combines the iFIB and the eFIB as the FIB of the router. The router includes an obtainment module and a combination module.
