PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device for achieving a high image quality by narrowing a development gap by stabilizing the behavior of a cleaning blade or a lubricant film forming blade and preventing a solid aggregated lubrication material from passing through a blade to mix into a developing device.

SOLUTION: An image forming device comprises an image carrier and lubricant applying means for applying a lubricating material on the image carrier surface and has a cleaning blade and/or a lubricant film forming blade as cleaning means or the lubricant applying means. The image carrier has waviness in which the arithmetic average waviness Wa obtained from the waviness curve where a coarse component is eliminated by a λc profile curve filter of 0.25 mm and a wavelength component longer than waviness is eliminated by a λf profile curve filter of 2.5 mm is 0.050 μm or more and 0.30 μm or less and the average length WSm of a profile curve element is 0.50 mm or more and 1.50 mm or less on the surface. The developing means has a developing gap of 0.1 mm or more and 0.5 mm or less.
