<p>A planar light-emitting device (1) which displays a design (2) by emitting light, having a design shape section (2c) formed in the shape of the design. In the design shape section (2c) of the design (2), a concave area (2a) is formed so as to create an opening of the under surface. A sheet material (3), tabular in form, having almost the same planar-view shape as the planar-view shape of the designed object (2), is provided below the design (2). A light-emitting plane (4c), having a top surface that contacts the entirety of the under surface of the sheet material (3), is provided on the under-surface-side of the sheet material (3). A light-guiding material (4), tabular in form, guides light emitted from a light source (5). In the concave area (2a) of the design (2), the light source (5) is provided in a position adjacent to the light-emitting plane of the light-guiding material (4).</p> |
