<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, a method and the like for recognizing an object displayed in an image. <P>SOLUTION: A feature point selection unit 8 specifies a candidate point to be a candidate of a feature point from pixel information input from a feature point score value selection unit 6.
