<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk inspection method and a system therefor which are suitable for feeding a magnetic disk stored in a cassette to plural inspection devices and collecting the inspected magnetic disk from the respective inspection devices. <P>SOLUTION: A cassette storing a magnetic disk before inspection is taken out of a cassette storage unit for transportation to any one of plural optical inspection units. In the optical inspection unit to which the cassette storing the magnetic disk before inspection is transported, the magnetic disk before inspection stored in the cassette is taken out to inspect both sides of the magnetic disk. The magnetic disk which is determined to be non-defective as a result of the inspection is stored in a cassette for collecting non-defective magnetic disks. The cassette storing the non-defective magnetic disk is transported from the optical inspection unit to the cassette storage unit, and the cassette storing the transported non-defective magnetic disk is stored in the cassette storage unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
