SEALING ASSEMBLY FOR A RADIAL ROLLING BEARING

The invention relates to a sealing assembly for a radial rolling bearing (1), which consists essentially of an inner bearing ring (2) and an outer bearing ring (3) and a plurality of rolling bodies (7) which roll on raceways (4, 5) between the bearing rings (2, 3) and are held at uniform distances from each other by a bearing cage (6). The sealing assembly is provided to seal the space (8) between the bearing rings (2, 3) and is formed, on the one hand, by two axially outer centrifugal rings (9, 10), which have an angular profile cross section and are made of thin-walled sheet steel and the axial limbs (11, 2) of which are fastened to the inner bearing ring (2) by a press fit and the radial limbs (13, 14) of which each form a sealing gap (15, 16) with respect to the outer bearing ring (3). The sealing assembly is formed, on the other hand, by two axially inner sealing rings (17, 18) which are each made of a steel reinforcement (19, 20) having an elastomer envelope (21, 22), and the outer circumferential sides (23, 24) of which are fastened to the outer bearing ring (3) by a press fit and the inner circumferential sides (25, 26) of which have at least one respective radial sealing lip (30, 31), which is in sealing contact with opposite sealing faces (28, 29) on the outer face (27) of the inner bearing ring (2), and at least one axial sealing lip (36, 37), which is in sealing contact with opposite sealing faces (34, 35) on the insides (32, 33) of the radial limbs (13, 14) of the centrifugal rings (9, 10). According to the invention, at least the sealing faces (34, 35) which are in sealing contact with the axial sealing lips (36, 37) of the sealing rings (17, 18) are designed with additional cross-sectional profiled sections on the insides (32, 33) of the radial limbs (13, 14) of the centrifugal rings (9, 10), by means of which profiled sections the contact pressure between the axial sealing lips (36, 37) and the sealing faces (34, 35) thereof remains at least approximately constant in the event of axial tilting of the bearing rings (2, 3) with respect to each other.
