<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle steering device which is excellent in energy-saving and improves durability. <P>SOLUTION: When non-energy-saving steering, such as stationary steering or steering/loading concurrent operation, is performed, a warning light as a recognition means is turned on (step S5) to notify a driver about non-energy-saving steering. A gain k2 of a steering angle speed proportional component of a target steering reaction force Th* is doubled (Step S6) to correct and increase the target steering reaction force Th*. An increase in steering reaction force surely notifies the driver about the non-energy-saving steering.
