PURPOSE: A precipitation hardening metastable austenitic stainless steel wire excellent in fatigue resistance and method for producing the same are provided to obtain fatigue resistant characteristic by precipitation hardening and to manufacture lightweight products. CONSTITUTION: A precipitation hardening metastable austenitic stainless steel wire consists of less than O(Oxygen) 0.004wt.%, less than C(Carbon) 0.02~0.15wt.%, Si(Silicon) 0.1~4.0wt.%, Mn(Manganese) 0.1~10.0wt.%, Ni(Nickel) 3.0~9.0wt.%, Cr(Chromium) 13.0~19.0wt.%, Mo(Molybdenum) 0.1~4.0wt.%, A (Aluminum) 0.35~3.0wt.%, Ti(Titanium) 0.01~0.20wt.%, less than N(Nitrogen) 0.05wt.%, residual iron and inevitable impurities. The tensile strength of steel wire is 2000 N / mm or greater.
