PURPOSE: A gypsum panel having excellent sound absorbing properties and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to easily remove dust and foreign materials from the gypsum panel by forming a sound absorbing sign layer having through holes on the panel. CONSTITUTION: A gypsum panel(100) having excellent sound absorbing properties comprises a gypsum body(120) and a sound absorbing sign layer(140). The gypsum body has multiple holes(122) in which sound waves and air pass through. The sound absorbing sign layer is attached on one surface of the gypsum body and has multiple through holes(142). The average diameter of the through holes is 10 to 40 micrometers.
