摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device which prevents a partial temperature rise of a wavelength conversion member and has desired optical characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The light source device 1 has an excitation-light light source 10 to emit excitation light, an optical fiber 20 equipped with an incident end surface 20a into which the excitation light enters and an emitting end surface 20b from which the excitation light is emitted, and guiding the excitation light from the incident end surface 20a to the emitting end surface 20b, and a wavelength conversion unit 40 against which the emitting end surface 20b abuts for converting the excitation light emitted from the emitting end surface 20b into wavelength-converted light having a desired wavelength. The wavelength conversion unit 40 has an optical element 41 which is placed on an optical axis 20c, is totally illuminated by the excitation light emitted from the emitting end surface 20b, and reflects the excitation light, a wavelength conversion member 43 which is placed in a light path of the excitation light reflected by the optical element 41, is totally illuminated by the excitation light, and converts the excitation light into wavelength-converted light, and an emission aperture 45 which emits, toward the outside, the wavelength-converted light converted by the wavelength conversion member 43. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
