<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that the acquisition of 2,2'-benzidine disulfonic acid which is a raw material is not necessarily easy in the conventional method of producing a biaryl compound. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a biaryl compound represented by formula (2): Ar-Ar (wherein Ar represents an aromatic group that may have a substituent), comprises a step wherein a compound represented by formula (1) Ar-Cl (wherein Ar is as defined above), is coupled in the presence of an amine compound that has at least two tertiary amino groups in each molecule, a copper metal and a copper salt. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
