<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that, in a conventional structure in which a stay and a head rest are fixed by the contact between an upper surface side of a notch of the stay and a locking side end part of a locking piece of a lock button, the contact relationship is destroyed by a push-down load or a pull-up load to the stay to cause depression of the stay leading to malfunction of the head rest, and this may cause harmful effects on a human life due to a whiplash, or other injuries, or damage to a neck, and may cause a worst situation such as occurrence of a death. <P>SOLUTION: In a falling and scattering prevention structure of the head rest, a locking part for securing locking on the notch of the stay is formed on at least an upper surface of the locking piece arranged on the lock button which is utilized to adjust the height of the stay arranged on a support so as to freely protrude and retreat. The locking part and a locked part of the notch can prevent falling and scattering of the stay and head rest during impact upon the head rest. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
