<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a coke for metallurgy better in qualities such as strength than by the conventional method, by using a coal blend prepared by blending plural brands of coals, by accurately evaluating the softening and melting property of a coal used in the coal blend by measuring the softening and melting property of the coal by simulating the surrounding environment of the coal softened and melted in a coke furnace. <P>SOLUTION: The softening and melting property of each brand of coals is previously evaluated from the penetration distance of the coal penetrating through-holes by disposing a material 2 having the through-holes through upper and lower surfaces thereof on a sample 1 of the coal of a predetermined amount packed in a container 3, and heating the coal sample 1 at a predetermined rate while a predetermined load is applied to the material 2; and the blend proportion of coals of brands having a penetration distance of ≥1.6 times the average penetration distance of coals of brands whose Gieseler maximum fluidities are ≥100 ddpm and ≤500 ddpm among coals blended in a coal blend is made ≤10 mass%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
