<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for managing snapshots of virtual servers that discriminatingly stores a plurality of snapshots even when one virtual server replaces and uses the plurality of snapshots according to use, and employs a configuration management database, and a device for embodying the method. <P>SOLUTION: Configuration information and system logs are acquired by virtual servers running on external computers, and the acquired system logs are analyzed. Based upon analysis results, relation information associated with relations between the acquired configuration information and components representing existent snapshots acquired from the same virtual servers and stored is extracted. Based upon the extracted relation information, identification information for identifying the acquired configuration information is generated, and the acquired configuration information and the system logs are stored as components representing the snapshots associatively with the generated identification information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
