The device has beacon (6) that is arranged in track bed, for emitting coded information signal. An antenna (7) is mounted in rail vehicle (1) for receiving coded information signal from beacon. A processing unit (8) is connected with antenna for decoding the information in coded information signal. The beacon is arranged in such a manner that the emitted information corresponds to information content of signal board (4) located near the beacon.
