<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate data in which dependence relation between software components is described when a transaction are processed as well as displaying a dependence map based upon data. <P>SOLUTION: An agent which monitors or traces the transaction processed by the software components gathers data, and forms an oriented graph in which the dependence relation between the software components is described. The dependence map is displayed based upon the oriented graph. When the transaction is processed, a dependence map shows dependence relation between the software components. Further, the dependence map may show dependence relation between applications including the software components.
