Growth of algae, plankton, bacteria, insect larvae etc. contained in the sewage-water is permitted or encouraged during sludge sedimentation. The insects developed from larvae are prevented from leaving the space above the sewage level and are kept alive. Specif., a secondary waste water flow is passed through a filler material mixture containing bacteria cultures. The filler mixture consists of approx. 60% gravel, 8% raw phosphates and/or beech wood pieces, 7% coke, 15% lime or marble stones and 10% bricks (% by vol.). |
