PURPOSE: A positive electrode for lithium secondary battery is provided to have high stability, to obtain high energy density, to restraint excessive emission of lithium ions, and to improve lifetime properties. CONSTITUTION: A positive electrode(100) for lithium secondary battery comprises a current collector(10), a first material layer(21) formed by mixing olivine type phosphate lithium positive electrode active material powder and binder, laminated on the current collector, and a second material layer(22) formed by mixing olivine type phosphate lithium positive electrode active material powder and binder, laminated on the first material layer. The specific surface area of olivine type phosphate lithium positive electrode active material powder of the second olivine type is 1.2 times or less than the area of olivine type phosphate lithium positive electrode active material powder of the first material layer.
