The device has an alternating current generator (10) driven by an output shaft of an internal combustion engine, and a lead secondary battery (20) connected parallel to a lithium secondary battery (30). MOSFETs (50, 60) are electrically connected with a conduction path between the generator and the batteries for switching the conduction path. A controller (11) limits increasing rate of power generation amount of the generator such that the power generation amount is increased when the conduction path is switched by the MOSFETs during driving of the engine. |
