Abstract This device involves the use of a solar panel to provide energy to a power storage unit. This power can then be connected to the processor and a single video camera, or an array of interconnected video cameras, in such a way that they can send operate and send images, information or data to other processors for processing, recording or viewing using wireless protocols (such as blue tooth, wifi or radio frequency signals) via an antenna. In this way the device described is completely independent from mains power sources, avoiding the needs of costly and potentially dangerous wiring and high voltages. This device may offer environmental benefits by utilising renewal energy sources from the sun. |
