<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device having high freedom of a combination of a power source block and a light source block, wherein heat of a light-emitting diode hardly affects a smoothing capacitor, as well as a lighting fixture having the lighting device. <P>SOLUTION: In the lighting device, the power source block 1 has a first printed wiring board 10 wherein a rectification section and a smoothing capacitor CO for rectifying and smoothing inputted AC power are respectively mounted, and the light source block 2 has a second printed wiring board 20 wherein a lighting circuit 3 for outputting designated DC power by using the smoothing capacitor CO as a power supply and a light-emitting diode array 4 turned on with an output of the lighting circuit 3 are respectively mounted. Heat of the light-emitting diode array 4 hardly affects the smoothing capacitor CO in comparison with the case in which the smoothing capacitor CO and the light-emitting diode array 4 are mounted on one printed wiring board.
