<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remotely obtain the state of a user using an operation panel of an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus 1, an authentication permission management part 35 permits, based on an operation to the operation panel 14 by the user, the user's login, a status management part 36 monitors the operation state of the user who is logging in, and a communication processing part 32 transmits operation state data indicating the user's operation state obtained by the status management part 36 to a terminal device.
