PURPOSE: A motor, a fabrication method thereof, and an optical disc drive using the same are provided to prevent burr at an external side of a rotor case by minimizing the thickness of a fracture part. CONSTITUTION: A shaft is inserted into a bearing assembly. A rotor case is fixed and coupled with the shaft. The rotor case revolves along with the shaft. A fracture part(48) is formed along the outer circumference of a lower end surface of the rotor case. The rotor case includes a rotor hub, an extension part, and a vertically extending part(47). The rotor hub is fixed and coupled with one end of the shaft. The extension part is expanded from the rotor hub to an external diameter direction. The vertically extending part includes the fracture part in a lower end surface.
