<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent catalytically active components 1 from sintering with each other when the catalytically active components 1 leave cocatalyst particles 2 and move onto the surface of alumina particles 4 under a high temperature environment around 1,000°C. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst for purifying automobile exhaust gas is characterized in that catalyst particles 3 having the catalytically active components 1 fixed to the surface of the cocatalyst particles 2 are carried on a porous inorganic base material through the alumina particles 4 serving as a catalyst carrier. The surface of the alumina particle 4 contains Zn element, thus preventing the catalytically active components1 from sintering with each other when the catalytically active components 1 leave the cocatalyst particles 2 and move onto the surface of the alumina particles 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
