<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aluminum oxycarbide composition, with which production of Al<SB POS="POST">4</SB>C<SB POS="POST">3</SB>can be suppressed and Al<SB POS="POST">4</SB>O<SB POS="POST">4</SB>C is efficiently produced, even when mass-produced with an arc furnace. <P>SOLUTION: One or more of silicon carbide, boron carbide, aluminum nitride, boron nitride and a metal are added to a carbonaceous raw material and an alumina raw material by 0.2-10.0 mass% externally, and the compound materials are melted with the arc furnace. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
