<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press die of pressing an original material into a press molded material with a bowl shape, which does not cause local underfill in the molded material. <P>SOLUTION: In the press die 1, an upper die 3 or a lower die 2 is rotated, around an axis in a pressing direction, to the lower die 2 mounted with an original material 5, and then the upper die 3 is pressed against the lower die 2. Thus, the original material 5 is molded into a press molded material with a bowl shape. The lower die 2 has a recessed die face 2a capable of forming a bowl shape, the upper die 3 has a standing board shape, and the lower edge face of the upper die 3 is a projection-shaped pressing face 3a projecting toward the side of the die face 2a in the lower die 2.
