<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manufacture a high-quality electrowetting display by an injection method. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an electrowetting display includes a step for forming a frame-shaped seal pattern by applying a sealing agent on one substrate of two substrates 1 having transparent electrodes, a step for manufacturing a cell having an opening by pasting the one substrate and the other substrate and curing the sealing agent, a step for injecting emulsion ink which is formed by dispersing hydrophobic liquid 5 into hydrophilic liquid 4 into the cell, and a step for sealing the opening.
