A molded article for an electric vehicle part is provided using a thermoplastic polyester resin composition imparting excellent hydrolysis resistance, electric insulation, flame retardance, and tracking resistance. The molded article for an electric vehicle part is formed by molding the thermoplastic polyester resin composition including a thermoplastic polyester resin, which has a terminal carboxyl group amount that is no more than 30 meq/kg, and a flame retardant, in which the tracking resistance measured according to IEC 112, the third edition, after pressurized heat treatment with the 120° C. saturated steam for 200 hours is no less than 500 V, and in which the volume resistivity value measured after the pressurized heating treatment with the 120° C. saturated steam for 200 hours is no less than 1×1015 &OHgr;·m.
