PHOTOREACTIVE POLYMER AND ALIGNMENT LAYER COMPRISING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A photoreactive polymer is provided to have very quick orientation rate at initial irradiation, and not to remarkably changing orientation characteristics after UV irradiation of relatively high intensity for specific times, thereby having excellent orientation stability. CONSTITUTION: A photoreactive polymer comprises a cyclic olefin based repeating unit in which one or more photoreactive group is substituted, has the maximum value of the absolute value of d(dichloric ratio)/d(mJ/cm^2) which is the change of dichroic ratio per unit intensity(mJ/cm^2), in case of irradiating UV polarized light with the wavelength of 150-450 nm at total intensity lower than 20 mJ/cm^2, is 0.003 or higher.
