PURPOSE: Desmut processing composition and method are provided to enable desmut processing to be stably performed without significant damage to the surface of a product when being applied to Al-Si-Mg alloy. CONSTITUTION: Desmut processing composition comprises hydrogen peroxide, sulfuric acid, Fe-series compound, ammonium-series compound and solvent. The desmut processing composition comprises 1~75weight% hydrogen peroxide, 1~30weight% of sulfuric acid, 1~20weight% of Fe-series compound, and 0.5~20 weight% of ammonium-series compound. The desmut processing composition comprises 1~60weight% hydrogen peroxide, 5~15weight% of sulfuric acid, 1~15weight% of Fe-series compound, and 0.5~10 weight% of ammonium-series compound. The desmut processing composition comprises 5~50weight% hydrogen peroxide, 5~10weight% of sulfuric acid, 1~10weight% of Fe-series compound, and 0.5~5 weight% of ammonium-series compound.
